Claude vs ChatGPT vs Grok vs Meta AI.

What each one makes, where it lives and what it can’t do. A dash means we couldn’t find it documented.

Limits worth knowing.

Claude Artifacts
One page, no backend and no extra routes. Scripts load only from a few public CDNs and external images are blocked. Pages top out at 16 MiB, and stored data is text-only. Artifacts shared from a chat need viewers signed in to Claude. Source
ChatGPT
Canvas is gone from current models since 28 May 2026. HTML and React previews run inside ChatGPT, with no hosted page and no comments on the output. Source
Meta AI
Creations are documents and visuals in Meta's app, not web pages you host. Rolling out by country. Source
Grok Build Mode
Early beta for SuperGrok Heavy. A published app has no saved data, sign-in, uploads or server logic you control. Source
Cloudtifact
It hosts, versions and collects comments. Your agent, or you, writes the page, which runs as HTML and JavaScript with the space's database.

Which one to use.

If the whole job happens in one Claude chat, Claude Artifacts are the shortest path. If you want a quick app on your own domain and already pay for SuperGrok Heavy, try Build Mode. If the work comes out of a repo, from more than one agent, or needs a team to review it, publish the HTML you already have to Cloudtifact.
